Tracy Aviary and 7 Peaks

This last weekend we had the Raymond family reunion. We went to Tracy Aviary and 7 Peaks. It was a lot of fun to see family and spend time with them.

Bella

So Bella is now 17 1/2 months old. She has gotten a lot bigger and longer. I really hope she is done growing or I'm going to have to move! For the most part she is an awesome dog. She knows if you aren't feeling good and stays near you at all times to protect you. She is amazing with the kids - never playing too rough and being careful with her teeth and paws. We have learned that ducks are the bane of the universe. We have a balcony outside our bedroom and she goes out there some days and if she sees a duck she goes berserk - its funny to watch. She also knows she isn't supposed to be on my bed but she has to cuddle with someone to sleep so most nights she crawls into my bed after I've fallen asleep. I think part of that comes from being abused. We have seen how she reacts to certain things and there is no doubt in my mind she was abused - whether that was the family she was with or as a stray we aren't sure. If I yell up the stairs for the kids to come to dinner or raise my voice at all she will cower against a wall or go hide in a closet. It is the saddest thing to see. We have tried really hard to keep things quiet now with her so she doesn't get scared.

My grandma came up for my cousin Bradley's graduation this last week so on Friday us girl's went to lunch. No kids just me, my mom, my sister Jamie, my aunts Jodi and Jill and my grandma. We had so much fun being goofy and annoying the elderly ladies at the restaurant :)

Baseball!!

Nik decided he wanted to try baseball so we got him signed up. He plays for the Cubs and is number 8. He looks so cute in his uniform. It's been so much fun watching his games and practices. He plays games every Monday & Wednesday and practices are Thursdays.

Scary!

I had a nice little scare tonight. Adam had been complaining about stomach pains all day and it got to the point that I couldn't touch him or our bed because of the amount of pain it brought him. I finally convinced hm to go to the doctor at about 7 pm. After an hour in the ER we got 1 blood test back and his white blood cells were at 21,000. They took him in for a CT scan and after the rest of the results came back it confirmed that he had appendicitis. At 9 pm they took him for surgery and he is now sleeping peacefully thanks to the drugs. The doctor said that as long as he gets up to start walking and he is feeling okay in the morning he should be released early tomorrow afternoon.

I realize that this kind of surgery isn't that big of a deal but hospitals in general make me nervous lol

Just wanted to say thanks to Mike & Janet for rushing down to take the kids, it was a big help knowing they were taken care of for the night. Also to my parents for coming and sitting at the hospital with me while Adam was in surgery, I know how long of a drive it is and it was late. Thanks guys and we love you so much!

Today Nik turned 10! It's amazing how time flies. We had a small family party for him at the park and played baseball after-wards. Here are some of the pics...

My Mommy...

So both the kids made some really cute things for me at school and I just had to share this one with everyone. It's from Jaydyn. I will bold the words that Jaydyn filled in. It is so cute to see what kids are thinking.

My mommy is so nice. Her name is Kim and she is only 31 years old. I am pretty sure she weighs 54 pounds and is 21 feet tall.

Her eyes are black and her hair is black. Some people say she looks like me!

There are a few things you need to know about my mom. Her favorite thing to do is plant a garden. She is really good at planting a garden. The food she eats the most of is spaghetti. Her favorite color is blue. Her favorite song to sing is I don't know. Her favorite TV show is the cooking channel.

If I could get my mom something special just from me it would be a present. I love her so much because I don't know. She loves me so much because I'm Good.
